Shopping locally has never been more important than it is right now, so this Christmas i'm spreading the word about lots of different independent Norfolk businesses that we should be supporting by creating lots of different Christmas gift guides to showcase the amazing products Norfolk has to offer. I've already curated a 'Gifts for Foodies' gift guide which was very well received and i've had some lovely messages from those of you who have purchased things from the companies I featured, so thank YOU for supporting these local companies! The next gift guide in my mini series is the gifts for beauty lovers and I can't wait to show off these amazing products!

Also, don't forget to leave your recommendations for other Norfolk independent companies in the comments section below. I would love to support as many local businesses as possible!

Clay Botanics are a sustainable, vegan and cruelty free brand that produce the most beautiful handmade soaps using natural ingredients and essential oils. They sell lots of different variations of soap with different benefits for the skin, such as a rose clay soap which helps to calm irritated skin, a charcoal detox soap for the face and body specifically formulated for acne prone skin, a french green clay soap containing moisturising ingredients such as avocado oil, coconut oil and olive oil, and also a coffee scrub, containing real spent coffee ground from local coffee company Strangers Coffee, which is a perfect exfoliant for the hands and body. My favourite thing about the brand is that they are circular economy advocates, and strive to be as low-waste as possible. The soaps are minimally packaged, with no plastic in sight. They are also stocked in two of my favourite zero waste shops in Norwich, Re.source and Ernie's Zero Waste Shop. These soaps would make a wonderful gift either on their own or alongside the other wonderful products mentioned in this gift guide as a little hamper.

Oathkin is a brand born out of the COVID-19 pandemic and their story began when they started making skincare products for the Doctors and Nurses at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital during the start of the pandemic. Oathkin products are sustainably made using local, natural ingredients and are all handmade. Their product range is beautifully curated and their packaging has a very luxurious feel but is still ethical, as everything is packaged in glass bottles. This bath oil would be the perfect addition to any pamper routine as it contains sweet almond oil and organic citrus nobilis essential oil, which are very nourishing for the skin. They are currently taking orders directly through instagram, so just give them a message if you're interested in purchasing any of their products.

Juni cosmetics is a 100% plastic free, vegan, organic cosmetics brand specialising in lipsticks. These satin finish lipsticks are available in 5 core colours which make up their capsule collection, made to suit all skin tones. They are made using Candelilla wax, which is a vegan alternative to beeswax and contain Botanical Hyaluronic Acid which helps to keep lips plump and hydrated with each application. Other ingredients include, Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Sunflower Seed oil and Argan Oil, which all help to moisturise the lips alongside many other benefits. One of the most striking things about the brand is the stunning packaging, which is 100% plastic free. The bullet and case are both made from aluminium, which can be recycled indefinitely. As someone who is a fan of luxury makeup, i'm glad i've finally found a sustainable, cruelty free brand. This would make the ideal gift for a luxury makeup lover, and would be a great alternative purchasing something from the typical brands they might use, such as Chanel or Dior.

Sop (Scents of Place) is a Norfolk based body care brand influenced by local landscapes. All Sop products are vegan and cruelty free and do not contain any GM ingredients, Parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Mineral Oils, or Palm Oil. They also use aluminium packaging, which is fully recyclable. Not only does this body wash look luxurious but it's also fragranced with natural bergamot, which is one of my favourite scents! The Sop product range also includes a shampoo and conditioner, which are both SLS free, making it perfect for anyone with an itchy, flaky scalp.

Norfolk Natural Living is a luxury home and wellbeing brand who are based in Holt. The company was founded by Bella Middleton, a qualified aromatherapist and each product is formulated by hand using only natural ingredients. This hydrating face wash is suitable for all skin types and is available in 2 scents- rose and coastal. All products are packaged in recyclable PET packaging but they can also be refilled in the Holt store. Not only do Norfolk Natural Living create beautiful skincare products, but they also make natural cleaning products and other items for the home too. There are so many great products available on their website, you could literally do all of your Christmas shopping in one place. They even have presents for pooch's too, so all members of the family can be catered for!

So that wraps up my Gifts for Beauty Lovers gift guide! I hope you liked the things I featured and don't forget to leave a comment with any other Norfolk brands you think should be mentioned.
