Turtle Bay is coming to Norwich and I couldn't be more excited! Ever since visiting Cuba a few years ago, i've longed to be reunited with Caribbean cuisine and to experience those exotic flavours once again! The new restaurant is set to launch on the 30th August, bringing with it host of delicious food and drink. It'll be the first Turtle Bay restaurant to grace East Anglia and is due to be located in the Norwich lanes, a beautiful shopping district, in a grade II listed former warehouse on Swan Lane. The 5,100 square foot restaurant will seat 180 people, creating 50 jobs. Turtle Bay is still recruiting so anyone wanting to apply should click here

Having seen the artists impressions of the new restaurant, it really does look spectacular and really brings to life the lively, colourful and soulful spirit that the Caribbean is renowned for. The bold, bright interior will transport guests to a sunnier climate, where they can relax at the Island hut bar or enjoy dining on the veranda. There will also be an open street food area, which I can't wait to see! The restaurant will have a really laid back atmosphere, which will be the perfect place for a relaxing dining experience. The Island Bar houses over 40 Caribbean rums, and i'm sure there will be a Mojito (my favourite!) or two on the extensive cocktail menu! The Norwich restaurant will house reclaimed shipping containers, oil drum lampshades, reclaimed wood, along with Turtle Bays first repurposed VW campervan! The interior alone sounds like something not to miss, so I can't wait to see how it all turns out.

Turtle Bay has created an authentic menu of dishes brimming with eclectic flavours and spicy notes to accompany the vibrant restaurant. There will be a wide range of food on offer from Jerk BBQ dishes to slow cooked 'one-pot' dishes. Turtle Bays famous Jerk Chicken and Curry Goat will also be available alongside dishes like, Double Dipped Steak, BBQ Pork Belly, Jerk Salmon and West Indian Steamed Fish. It doesn't stop there though, as there is also a range of tantalising puddings on offer like, a Spiced Chocolate Pot, Banana and Toffee Cheesecake, Caymanas Rum Cake and much more!

Not only does Turtle Bay offer incredible food, they also have a happy hour that lasts from 11.30am-7pm and then again after 10pm! Which means all of their cocktails are 2 for 1 between these times! So if that doesn't make you visit the new restaurant, then I don't know what will!

I'm really excited about this new restaurant and I think its definitely what Norwich needs! It will be the perfect venue for birthdays and large gatherings, as well as the ideal setting for a romantic meal, with the cocktails flowing! I'll be attending the pre-launch dinner on the 25th August so I'll be sure to fill you all in on what the restaurant is like, but in the meantime make sure you check out Turtle Bays twitter account (click here) to keep up to date with the launch!

There are many Turtle Bay restaurant across the UK, so check out their website to find your nearest restaurant!
