I received a sample of the Vichy Dermablend Fluid Corrective Foundation 16H in a You Beauty Discovery Box and it was just sitting in my makeup drawer unused until one day, when I used my last pump of Dior Star foundation, and couldn't bare to be foundation-less I decided to give it a go. I just hoped it was the right shade for me, and it matched perfectly! I was so surprised at how much I liked this foundation that I instantly purchased the full size. I purchased mine off of Escentual, and what was even better was that they were having a 1/3 off French brands sale, which included Vichy, so I only paid £12 instead of the usual price of £18 which was an absolute steal!
The foundation is quite light when applied and i've found its best applied with a beauty blender. I have used a buffing brush, but it ends up looking quite streaky and took a while to buff into the skin so using a damp sponge is much easier! The foundation has quite a yellow undertone and does create quite a dimensionless appearance (if that makes sense!?) but its nothing a bit of bronzer can't fix! The foundation has SPF 35, so I wouldn't recommend it for use with flash photography because you might end up looking a bit like Casper but it is really long lasting and the coverage is great. The finish of this foundation is quite dewy, which I personally love and I didn't need to use any extra concealer. The foundation claims to last for 16 hours, and even though I can't vouch for that, I have worn it for around 10 hours and it looked just as good at the end of the day. The only downside is the smell, I can't quite get my head around what it is but it has a noticeable odour and every time I apply the foundation I think 'oh that smell'.. but it doesn't bother me too much and definitely not enough to stop using it.
Overall, this was a great foundation and I'd definitely recommend it if you suffer from blemishes and find them hard to cover.
Have you tried this foundation?

I've always found this foundation brilliant for covering blemishes. I don't know if you have seen the video with Rick the Zombie featuring the product?

DeleteI have their stick concealer and had their white powder but nothing as good. They were good quality but the foundation is just brilliant!

I really want to try the concealer! I might give it a go :) xxx
DeleteI've heard so many good things about this foundation. I've tried the one in the white packaging, but i'm guessing it either been reformulated or re packaged. I'm definitely going to check this out :) xx
