The temperature has seriously plummeted in the UK recently and the drop in temperature has really taken its toll on my skin. My hands have suddenly become very dry and flaky, which is mainly due to the cold weather. When Neal and Wolf kindly offered to send my something from their new Elysian collection I specifically opted for something to help my hands, so the new revive Hand and Body Lotion* seemed like the perfect option.

I always like to slightly indulge at the weekends and spend a lot more time enjoying my mornings, so what better way to do both those things than to make a delicious portion of cinnamon french toast! This recipe is slightly different and *slightly healthier* than your average french toast recipe as its filled with Jim Jams Hazelnut Chocolate spread and bananas, creating a gooey chocolatey delight!

Thai Prawn Crackers with Sweet Chilli Sauce

Interior

Last weekend I was lucky enough to be wined and dined at the newly opened Giggling Squid* restaurant, situated in Tombland, Norwich. Tombland is the perfect location for this modern, Thai food restaurant with its clean, classy interior. Me and my partner, Ruben, were invited along to try out the menu as we are both avid Thai food lovers. On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly host and taken too our table which was situated by the bar on the ground floor. There are two floors to the restaurant, but only the ground floor was open on this particular evening meaning the atmosphere downstairs was very lively and bustling- just what you want for a Friday evening! The decor inside the restaurant is not what you'd expect from a typical Thai restaurant, instead, the simple, white washed decor creates a calming, tranquil atmosphere.

Haircare has always been an important part of my daily routine as I have very long, thick hair, so when Redken offered to send me their Pillow Proof Blowdry Express Treatment Primer*, I couldn't wait to try it out! If you follow me on instagram you would have already seen the amazing American Sweets that were delivered alongside the products to signify the American Brand, which is based on 5th Avenue in New York. The brand was founded by Paula Kent in 1960 and within 50 years, the brand has grown substantially and is now recognised across the globe in 43 different countries.

I've seen OK Bouquet* floating around on social media for quite a while and i've always admired their beautiful flower arrangements, so when they offered to send me a bouquet of very my own I was delighted! OK Bouquet is run by Rosario Rospo, who originally began selling flowers at the Columbia Road Flower Market. Rosario noticed a gap in the online market for big, fresh flowers at an affordable price and so, thats when OK Bouquet was created. Each bouquet boasts stems of 70cm in length (the longer the stem, the better the quality!) so you know you're getting high quality flowers which are custom made to order, so each bouquet is unique!

Turtle Bay opened its first restaurant in Norwich this week and last Thursday, I was lucky enough to attend the preview dinner with some other lovely bloggers and press to see what Turtle Bay is all about. The restaurant is located on Swan Lane in the Norwich Lanes and it certainly can't be missed with its turquoise exterior!

Bakes Box

What better way to welcome back the Great British Bake Off (which starts tonight- yay!) than to tell you about a baking subscription box suitable for amateur bakers or Mary Berry herself! Bakes Box is a fairly new subscription box, which provides you with all of the dry ingredients needed to create some showstoppers worthy of appearing on GBBO themselves! I was lucky enough to win the two boxes I have had the pleasure of creating via their instagram and twitter competitions. So definitely check out their social media accounts as they always have competitions running!

Turtle Bay is coming to Norwich and I couldn't be more excited! Ever since visiting Cuba a few years ago, i've longed to be reunited with Caribbean cuisine and to experience those exotic flavours once again! The new restaurant is set to launch on the 30th August, bringing with it host of delicious food and drink. It'll be the first Turtle Bay restaurant to grace East Anglia and is due to be located in the Norwich lanes, a beautiful shopping district, in a grade II listed former warehouse on Swan Lane. The 5,100 square foot restaurant will seat 180 people, creating 50 jobs. Turtle Bay is still recruiting so anyone wanting to apply should click here

I was contacted by the lovely team at Nutribuddy to trial their 14 day weightloss kit*, in return for an honest review of the products. I have my graduation coming up in September, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try and shift a few more pounds before the big day. Having tried out various 'diets' previously, I've since vowed to stay away from drastic measures of trying to lose weight as I see it as very unhealthy long term, so I made sure I did a lot of research beforehand about Nutribuddy before agreeing to take part and decided that because safety was their main ethos I would give the kit a try.

The Gin Festival is the brain child of husband and wife team Jym and Marie, who decided in 2012 that their gin obsession could not be satisfied by mediocre 'gin bars' and tasting sessions, and therefore created a festival where Gin lovers from all over the country could come together to taste 100 Gins. Now, i'm no Gin conisseur but I do enjoy the odd tipple every now and again so when I was invited along to attend the event I jumped at the chance and I had the pleasure of attending the evening session on the Saturday night alongside my Boyfriend, Sister and Brother-in-Law. We arrived at the event at around 7.30pm, which was being held at Open in Norwich, which is a large venue usually hosting gigs and other events.

Since Discovering Neäl & Wolf in a Love Me Beauty box a couple of months ago I've completely fell in love with the brand and avidly use their products daily! When I heard that Benefit were releasing new Hoola products I couldn't believe my ears. The Hoola bronzer is my all time favourite, so I couldn't wait to try the other products in the range. After seeing the marketing campaign for the Hoola Zero Tanlines all over body bronzer I definitely knew I wanted to try it, and for £19.50 I didn't think it was too badly priced either! First of all, the packaging is gorgeous, even if it did take me far too long to realise that the cap is supposed to be a Hoola skirt! Genius.

Inside the cap is a sponge applicator which you are supposed to use to buff the product into your skin in circular motions. The sponge actually applies the product really well, and leaves a streak-free finish, however I can't help but feel like the applicator is soaking up a lot of the product. I found that I had to use a lot of product to cover a small area, and even then I didn't think the colour pay off was that great. It also took quite a long time to cover my legs and arms, so its definitely not something you can apply if you're short of time! I personally think the product applies quite sheer which is completely different to how it looks in the tube. When I first used this product I had fake tanned the night before, so even though it didn't really give me much more colour, it definitely gave my skin a lovely glow. When using this product without fake tanning the night before it still didn't have much of a colour pay off, which really disappointed me.

The product claims to be transfer resistant for 12 hours and I actually agree with them on that one! I applied the product before a night out and I didn't have any awkward streaky leg fiascos caused by spilt drinks! There was also no transferring of the product onto my pjs nor bed sheets which was definitely a plus. The smell, however,  is slightly off putting and I still think it has that awful fake-tan biscuit smell, even though Benefit claims its Hoola-la! scented.. whatever that is!

Overall, I'm on the fence about this product. The packaging is lovely, but I just don't think what's inside lives up to my expectations. I know its only supposed to be a body bronzer and not a fake tan but there was hardly any 'bronzing' happening because the colour was so light. On the website it says the colour is buildable, but I just think it would take far too long to build up the colour i'd like, especially with how small the applicator is. The bottle is only 147ml, so you can probably only get a handful of full body applications out of it before it runs out!

Have you tried this new Benefit product?

Hello gorgeous lush

Hello gorgeous lush gift set

rub rub rub shower scrub lush

I've always loved Lush products, so I was delighted when I received this gorgeous gift set for my Birthday last week! The gift set is aptly named Hello Gorgeous and retails for £23.50. First of all, the packaging is beautiful and I'll definitely be reusing the box once i've used up all of the products inside! There's a great diversity of products inside the box, which I really love! It's not all bath bombs which really appeals to me as I very rarely indulge in a bath (although I do need to pamper myself more!) Also, it means I can try a variety of products from Lush that I might not have tried before and there's actually only one product in this box which I have tried before which is the Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub.

I've always loved the idea of doing really fancy designs on my nails, but in reality I just don't have the time, so that's where MoYou London come in! MoYou London specialise in developing nail art stamping kits which are easy and quick use! Sounds perfect to me! I received this wonderful kit in my Suffolk Blogger Meet Goody Bag (click here) and it has all you need to create the most perfect fancy nail art. You can buy all of the components separately from the MoYou London website but you can also purchase a nifty little kit, just like 'The Pro'* one that I received, for £12.99, which includes a Nail Art Image Plate, Nail Stamping Polish, and a Rectangular Stamp and Scraper.

A few months ago I took advantage of the 'refer a friend' promotion that Space NK were advertising and decided to pick myself up another one of my favourite foundation, Nars Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc. The qualifying rules of the promotion were pretty simple and you just had to spend over £20 to receive the goody bag and free delivery (which is usually £5). My foundation was delivered really quickly, however my goody bag never arrived initially and it has taken months of emails and tweets to the Space NK customer service team for it to finally be sent out. I'm really glad I persevered though because the goody bag I received exceeded my expectations!

So, I was tagged by the fabulous Justine to take part in the '£20 makeup challenge' and seeing as I've been slightly MIA with blog posts recently (sorry! uni sucks) I was definitely up for the challenge! and what a challenge it was... Now, i'm a high end beauty girl through and through so whilst looking through my makeup collection I came to the realisation that I don't actually own much hughstreet makeup so off I popped to Boots and Superdrug to devour the makeup aisles and spend my pennies.

Cup O'Coffee Lush

Cup O'Coffee Face Mask Lush

When I hear the word 'Lush' I automatically think 'Bath' but i've recently been trying out a fairly new product and I love it! I've always loved Lush as a brand, especially their bath bombs but I've not heard much about their skincare products before. I have previously used the Mask of Magnaminty face mask before and I enjoyed using that but apart from that i've steered clear of others from the brand.

On the Saturday before Valentines Day, Ruben and I decided to celebrate our 4 year anniversary (and valentines of course!) at the Cote Brasserie in Norwich. Cote is a fantastic french, chain restaurant which had opened last Summer. We had previously eaten at the restaurant before with my family, and had a lovely meal, so when we saw that they were advertising a set meal for valentines day which wasn't obscenely overpriced we booked a table!

I've recently been getting more and more into lipliners recently- I think the Kylie Jenner lip craze has finally hit me! So when I was in Primark recently and saw this nude lip liner in the shade 01 I decided to pick it up and try it. It was only a £1 so if it turned out to be rubbish I hadn't wasted a lot of money!

The Melt Crowd February

I've been following Flamingo Candles for quite a while on social media and have always lusted over their candles and wax melts, so when my boyfriend asked me what I wanted for Valentines day I couldn't resist the urge to ask for a subscription to the Flamingo Candles 'The Melt Crowd' Box. The Melt Crowd is a monthly subscription box where you get 8 different scented wax melts delivered to your door by Flamingo Candles. The box costs just £10 per month, including delivery, which I think is really good value considering each wax melt usually retails for £2. Don't worry if you don't already own a wax burner because you get one free with your first box at no extra charge!

Thai Marina Lincoln

Last weekend, Ruben and I ventured to a new Thai Restaurant, called the Thai Marina, in Lincoln. I had previously eaten at the restaurant before for a friends birthday and loved it! So I thought i'd take Ruben there and show him the amazing cuisine this restaurant has to offer. The restaurant is located along the Brayford, which is a riverside location with lots of other restaurants surrounding it. Unfortunately, Thai Marina is right at the end of the strip of restaurants and slightly tucked away round the corner, which might explain why it wasn't as busy as we'd expected.

Vichy Dermablend Foundation Opal

I received a sample of the Vichy Dermablend Fluid Corrective Foundation 16H in a You Beauty Discovery Box and it was just sitting in my makeup drawer unused until one day, when I used my last pump of Dior Star foundation, and couldn't  bare to be foundation-less I decided to give it a go. I just hoped it was the right shade for me, and it matched perfectly! I was so surprised at how much I liked this foundation that I instantly purchased the full size. I purchased mine off of Escentual, and what was even better was that they were having a 1/3 off French brands sale, which included Vichy, so I only paid £12 instead of the usual price of £18 which was an absolute steal!
