September Favourites

There's been so many things i've loved this month that they all wouldn't fit in the picture so I had to narrow it down to my ultimate favourites..

1) Beauty Blender and Solid Cleanser

I've wanted to try a Beauty Blender for what seems like forever so I was delighted when I received one with my Birchbox subscription. I dampen the sponge before I use it and my foundation and concealer is blended so seamlessly, its completely changed how my makeup looks. The solid cleanser it came with works brilliantly! I've never used a product which completely removed foundation from a makeup sponge, apart from this! I spent about 30 seconds cleaning this Beauty Blender and it looks as good as new.

2) Nars Sheer Glow Foundation (Vallauris)

I've been meaning to try this foundation for a while now after its been so hyped in the blogging community but i've never found myself near a Space NK to get colour matched. I'm really dubious about buying foundation off of the internet so I waited until I visited the Brighton Space NK and i'm so glad I did! I expected this to be a very 'glowing' foundation (hence the name) but I don't think it is at all! I normally prefer a matte finish, and I think this is more of a satin finish, so not 'glowy' at all. The only annoying thing about this product is that I had to purchase a pump separately but the lid doesn't fit on the foundation bottle with the pump on, so its left me with some very messy Muji drawers!

3) Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (Honey)

This product has also been raved about so I thought i'd pick is up on my Brighton trip also! I use this concealer under my eyes but also on blemishes because its quite a thick consistency and covers them up perfectly. I was colour matched to the shade 'Honey' and even though this colour is slightly too dark to be brightening under my eyes I just use a lighter concealer on top. Once i've applied the concealer to any blemishes I leave it to 'bake' for a few minutes in order to make it last longer and I've found this technique really does enable my concealer to stay put all day.

4) Lord and Berry Blush (Lotus)

I received this blush in a recent Birchbox and I think it's the perfect mauve colour for Autumn. The formula of this blush is very pigmented, so a little goes a long way! It has a very silky texture in the pan and sits on top of foundation without separating.

5) Mac Lustre Lipstick (Syrup)

This lipstick has been on my 'To Buy' list for a few months now, so I finally took the plunge whilst in duty free. Mac lipsticks are so creamy in formulation and this lustre finish in Syrup is no exception. The colour is quite a deep plum colour, perfect to wear in the colder months! I do have to reapply this lipstick a few times throughout the day, but then again thats to be expected with a lustre finish.

6)YSL Les Sahariennes Bronzer (Sable)

I really enjoy using this cream bronzer- it applies very easily to the face and turns into a powder once applied giving a lovely golden brown colour to the cheeks. The packaging is so beautiful I even keep it in the box still because I can't bare to throw it away and it's taken pride of place on my dressing table. The bronzer comes with a dual ended brush- however, I find it really difficult to use the sponge side so I just use a different brush to apply it with.

7) Sausage Dog Ring Holder

I've been looking for a ring holder for a long time now so I was delighted when I found this Sausage Dog one in Lisa Angel.

8) Anything with my initial on…

I've become obsessed recently with homeware with my initial on it. I picked up this coaster from Tiger recently for £1 and I love it! I've even bought myself a 'H' mug from Next (click here) which currently holds my makeup brushes in and also a 'H' cushion from Marks and Spencer (click here) which sits on my bed (currently out of stock, similar here).

So there's everything i've loved for the month of September, are any of my favourites the same as yours!?
