This is a new type of post for me, but it's such a great way for people to get to know me better! I was tagged by the lovely Emily and even though i'm writing this a few weeks late *slaps wrist* definitely go and check out her post aswell!
So the rules are simple- list 10 things you love and 10 things you hate and then tag other bloggers to do the same! Here goes..
Things I Love:
1) The important people in my life- I know this is such a cliché thing to say but I wouldn't be where I am today without the support from such a loving family. They have dealed with lots of tantrums and BFs along the way (White Chicks reference for you there, BEST film ever!) so they really do deserve some recognition because I probably don't tell them enough, so thank you all!
2) Chocolate- I'm a serious chocaholic, I even eat it for breakfast (sorry Mum!). I could quite literally eat chocolate for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy.
3) Michael McIntyre- I think Michael McIntyre is the funniest man alive and I recently had the pleasure of watching him live on his Happy and Glorious tour in Brighton at the end of last month. He literally makes me cry of laughter and I can recite his entire show, much to the dismay of the people i'm watching it with!
4) Koala Bears- Or just animals in general. I don't know why I have such a fascination with Koala Bears, I've never seen one in real life and I know they can be quite aggressive, but there's something about their furry little ears and big paws that just melts my heart and any picture of a Koala Bear makes me go AWW!
5) TV Series- I'd be here forever if I listed every TV series that I love so I thought I would collate them into one category. The best ones I've watched are Breaking Bad, Desperate Housewives, Devious Maids, Gossip Girl, 90210 and the list goes on. My two most recent TV series that I'm loving are The Last Ship and Zoo which are both aired on Sky 1 on Sundays.
6) Keeping a Memory Box- I've done this for the past few years and its a great way of storing things that help you remember unforgettable moments. I've got all sorts of things in my memory box from fancy restaurant receipts to concert tickets. Its such a shame to keep it under my bed so I might have to create some sort of Pinterest inspired frame to display them in.
7) Makeup, fashion etc- I wouldn't have started my blog if I didn't love the things I talk about, so this definitely had to go into my top 10.
8) University- I'm about to start my third year of University and even though i've had my ups and downs I wouldn't have changed going to University for anything. I've met some incredible people and friends that I hope i'll stay close to forever and i've had some great experiences along the way.
9) Reading- I absolutely love reading, I just don't seem to get enough time to read unless i'm on holiday! The best books i've read recently are 'The Girl on the Train' and 'Dream a little Dream' by Giovanna Fletcher.
10) Christmas- Ahhh! I know some of you must be horrified that I've mention the C word in September, but i just can't help myself. I'm still a big kid and Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I'd have a christmas tree up all year round if it was acceptable (which it isn't *cry*). I can't wait to watch Elf, visit Christmas markets, eat Candy Canes, spend time with Family, make Gingerbread Houses… and everything else!
Things I Hate:
1) Parking- Or just driving in general. I'm not a bad driver but being in a car horrifies me. I'd much rather walk or get the train somewhere, especially If i've never been there before. I'm the type of person that will drive around a car park for a good twenty minutes until I find a car park space which I can either drive straight into or has no cars around that I could potentially hit.
2) Sharks- Ever since watching Jaws when I was a child (cheers Dad!) I've had an extreme fear of Sharks, Galeophobia. Just seeing a picture of a shark or an advert for Shark Week on TV makes my heart rate triple. I can't even walk through those aquarium tunnels without having my eyes closed because i'm convinced as soon as the Great White sees me it will break through the glass and eat me.
3) Rudeness- Manners don't cost a thing and it's surprising how many rude people there are in the world. It doesn't take much to Thank someone for holding the door open for them for example. I had a horrible experience a few months ago in a local supermarket at the self checkout machines where I ran out of the shop to return £7 to the customer beforehand who had left their change in the coin part, to then be accused of stealing the remainder of the change that apparently was left. How rude! It infuriated me at the time!
4) Pork Chops- This is so random but I can't stand Pork Chops. I feel the need to specify the type of pork because I love Bacon and Sausages, but a lump or pork on my plate? No thanks…
5) Bad Customer Service- This one is probably heightened by the fact that I've worked in restaurants and in retail since I was 16 so I know how you should treat customers. I'm the worst person to have a meal with at a Restaurant because i'll be watching the staff like a hawk.
6) Wasps- I really dislike Wasps. I recently got stung my a Wasp on my little finger and it's the worst thing i've ever experienced. It dropped into my hair whilst I was sat under a tree and I thought it was just a leaf so I picked it out of my pony tail. It was not a leaf.
7)Peoples preconceptions about Students- We're not all the same, some of us don't spend our entire student loans on booze so It really does ruffle my feathers when all students are grouped and given a 'bad press'.
8) Green Tea- I really tried to be one of those girls that love Green Tea and have quinoa with everything, but i'm just not. Give me a builders tea and fried Chicken any day and i'll be your best friend.
9) How much money takeaway coffee costs!?- I recently went into a popular coffee chain *uhum Starbucks* and was gobsmacked that my favourite drink, a Caramel Macchiato, was £3.05 for a small! It used to be £2.95, so its only 10p more but why does it have to be so expensive still *cry*
10) Untidyness- and Finally, maybe my biggest pet peeve, people who don't tidy up after themselves.
Phew! That took a lot longer than expected. It was so difficult to think of 10 things. I'll probably be kicking myself later for forgetting some really important stuff but thats it for now!
I tag Kate, a fellow Norwich blogger! I don't know many other bloggers yet because i'm still so new to this but I tag anyone else who reads this and fancies giving it a go!
