P.S Love...Egg Makeup Sponge
Thursday 16 July 2015
I picked up this makeup sponge recently whilst I was in Primark and I thought I would try it out and see if it rivals my current favourite. I currently use the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and I love it, however, recently I've found it difficult to use because pieces keep breaking off and it has become quite clogged with foundation (even though I was it regularly), so I though it's about time I get a new one.
Instead of replacing my Real Techniques Sponge I thought I would give the Primark one a go, it was only £1.50! When I got home and tried the sponge I was very disappointed. It looked so promising because it looks identical to a Beauty Blender, however when you get it out of the packaging the Primark sponge is rock solid. I ran the product under the tap and hoped that it would absorb some water, but it didn't absorb as much as the Real Techniques Sponge and was virtually still dry afterwards. When I applied my foundation the sponge simply absorbed the foundation and it was difficult to blend. I ended up using much more foundation then I usually would with the Miracle Complexion Sponge. The shape of the sponge made it difficult to cover a large area, unlike the Miracle Complexion Sponge which has a flat side which allows for fast foundation application.
Overall, I didn't like this makeup sponge and I will definitely be repurchasing the Real Techniques one in the future or I might even give the Beauty Blender a go!
Have you tried the PS. Love.. Egg Makeup Sponge?

I completely agree with you my lovely, the Primark sponge is so dense! Just goes to prove that obviously the Real Techniques sponge and the Beauty Blender are a completely different formula!
